Nowadays, most women take great lengths to rid of unwanted hair simply because it is considered to be unhygienic and in lieu of feminine. Thanks to the technology today, there are a handful of methods available that are effective yet gentle enough for facial hair removal for women.

1 .Threading

This is almost a similar method to plucking and with the same degree of pain. This is a trendy hair removal method that makes use of a thread and a skillful manipulation to remove hair in specific places, hence the name. Threading is immensely popular nowadays because it is considered to be better than any other forms of hair removal. It can target specific areas with hair and work only on those areas while other means of hair removal needs to be used in a large area.

2. Waxing

Waxing is good method for facial hair removal for women. It consists of a sticky mixture is applied on the area with hair and a cloth or fiber is used to pull out the sticky mixture and the hair included. However, this procedure is relatively painful and some people have a skin reaction to the wax used. Others even experience skin peeling because of the method. You do have the option to do this method at home or at a spa. If you do decide to undergo waxing from a spa, go to one that is reputable and that has been providing quality services to its clientele. If you decide to do it at home, choose a waxing kit that is easy to use and has good reviews from users.

3. Bleaching

The idea behind bleaching is to lighten the facial hair color so as to make it appear invisible in naked eye. You can purchase a bleaching kit so you can do it at home. However, you should remember that bleaching creams should never be used near the eyes as it may risk blindness. Some people may also suffer from various side effects including skin sensitivity and inflammation. You need to do a 24 hour patch test first to ensure that you won’t have these side effects.

4. Laser hair removal

This is a method that first became available commercially in the mid 90′s. It provides permanent results for those who want to get rid of their facial hair forever. With the use of the selective photothemolysis (SPTL), which is consists of a wavelength of pulse duration and light that match each other to help provide the optimum outcome for a targeted tissue while minimizing the effect on the surrounding areas. Depending on the operator of the laser, this method is entirely efficient and fast. It works best for those with fair skin and dark hair as it affects the pigmentation of the hair. Nevertheless, there are newer lasers being released that can also target dark hair in people with dark skin.
