Several disorders such as Cushing’s syndrome and polycystic ovary syndrome also cause sudden onset of acne.

Having parents with acne, becoming extremely stressed, eating a high glycemic index diet and proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes are also known to aggravate or trigger acne.

Home remedies for acne have been used by many generations in relieving their skin from fiendish spots. Many people use egg whites as masks to soften and even out the skin, minimize the pores and draw out impurities from the skin. Numerous people have tried this method and gained marvelous results. This is a frugal means to get rid of acne. However, it can be very smelly, messy and care should be considered when applying it.

Aspirin masks are another method used to get rid of acne. Aspirin are known anti-inflammatory drugs which give them the ability to reduce inflammation and make your acne look less visible. It should be applied at least once a week but never every day as it can be drying. Furthermore, chronic and persistent use of aspirin can increase bleeding tendencies which is why you should never use it more than once weekly.

Honey masks are also used as a home treatment for acne. It’s inexpensive and it can be found in the depths of your kitchen. Honey is known for its antibacterial properties and its ability to soothe inflammation. Centuries ago, it has been used by our ancestors to clean and disinfect wounds in homes. In a recent study, honey has been known to kill even the most antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, which makes honey a very reliable treatment for acne. Home remedies for acne are not only cost-effective, they also provide an effective means of getting rid of the troublesome spots on your face.
