Lose Weight Fast: What Is The Wrong Type Exercise?
Both nutrition and exercise are essential pieces of the weight loss puzzle. You’re going to have quite a tough time actually losing weight if you neglect either of these two areas. When it comes to trying to lose weight fast, the stakes get even higher and you need to make sure you are on point in both of those areas. One area that people struggle is when it comes to exercise. All too often people are doing the wrong types of exercises and then they wonder why they are not losing weight despite all of their efforts put into exercise. Not all exercises are created equal, and while any exercise is better than no exercise, in order to lose weight quick you should be doing a specific type of exercise, and avoiding another.
The type of exercise you should avoid is cardio. A lot of people do mostly cardio when they are trying to lose weight, and they may even see some good results initially, so they continue doing cardio. The problem is that your body quickly adapts and becomes more efficient at doing cardio exercises. This is how runners can increase their speed and how far they are able to run over time. Their body uses less energy to run farther. The problem for weight loss is that energy that you need to burn is fat, and if your body is burning less fat even though you are running farther, then you will not lose weight.
This is why you should be doing strength training exercising as opposed to cardio. These include weight lifting which can be done with free weights or even weight machine. Using weights or other items such as a resistance band or your own body weight in order to provide resistance, keeps your muscles confused, and so they’ll break down (to be built back up again stronger) and that whole process burns many more calories than doing cardio.
So, you can use cardio as a quick warm up to get loose and get the blood pumping, but spend most of your exercise time doing strength training and resistance training exercises, and you’ll be able to lose weight fast.
