Acne is a common skin disorder that is manifested in many forms such as blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Typically, it can be seen on the face although some cases affect the back and the chest areas as well. Acne is triggered by the excess production of an oily substance known as sebum that is secreted by the sebaceous gland in the dermis. When this happens, clogging in the skin pores takes place, hence, leading to the formation of acne. Natural remedies for acne are widely available in many food and health stores. In fact, most of them are proven to be effective since their success rate is quite high.

It is factual that there are antibacterial medications that can treat various types of skin diseases. However, the downside of these drugs is the side effects which can cause additional health problems. That is why many people prefer the natural remedies for acne since they are known to be safer. Mentioned below are some examples of these remedies.

1.) Increase Oral Fluid Intake

Drinking plenty of water should always be on your top priority list. Since water can assist the body in eliminating toxic substances, it also reduces the tendencies of acne formation. To attain a healthier skin and free from acne, it is strongly suggested to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day.

2.) Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera juice has been known to be one of the best natural remedies for acne as well as promoting an improved skin complexion. All that is required is to apply the juice on the affected part of the skin. Furthermore, aloe vera juice has also been known to hasten the diminishing of acne scars. Moisturizers and ointments that are composed of aloe vera are also excellent products in providing catharsis to the skin and can eliminate pimples.

3.) Carrot Juice

Carrot juice is also a popular ingredient due to its abilities regarding skin healing. This juice contains high amounts of vitamin C and therefore is considered to be a best remedy to treat acne. Should you wish to choose this option, it is strongly suggested to drink between two and three glasses of carrot juice upon waking up in the morning and on an empty stomach to take advantage of its skin healing properties. In treating acne, you can use a cotton ball soaked with carrot juice and apply it on the acne.

4.) Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is also known to be one of the best natural remedies for acne. However, don’t use a concentrated solution of this oil since it can be damaging to the skin. Instead, you can dilute it with water. Tea tree oil functions by eradicating the bacteria that is causing the acne. You can use a cotton swab with this oil and apply it on the affected area. Let it remain for the entire night and wash the oil with water the moment you wake up.

5.) Lemon Juice

By mixing lemon juice with its amount equal to rose water, use a cotton ball and apply the solution on areas infected with acne.

There are also other natural remedies for acne like following a healthy diet and limiting the intake of spicy and junk foods. Always remember that acne can be completely cured once you follow a diet with foods rich in vital nutrients such as fruits and vegetables. These foods can definitely hasten the elimination of bacteria causing the skin problems.
